World Quests are a new system of content that just debuted. Instead of the bullshit we got in WoD, world quests span the ENTIRE continent and have many that encourage grouping up. There are PvE and PvP world quests. World quests will last anywhere from a few hours (PvP towers a la Terokkar Forest) to a few days, even a week.

On the surface it all looks good, but as I've learned before with Cataclysm LOOKS aren't the same as it actually existing.
Will the PVP be good with the new system? Will the content hold up better than WoD? Will we actually get decent content patches? Probably won't know until it's too late.

Utilizing LoS is what gives arenas a lot of their depth, and if it weren't for pillars classes that spam CC and ranged classes would absolutely dominate everyone. You're just admitting to how ignorant you are about arenas.

Cata was fine in the first month of it before they decided "yeah nah, let's roll back all the changes people liked and make it even easier than Wrath was".

This guy did not seem like he had the mindset of a player. He's a programmer and that's it, everything to him is based on the programming point of view. You have to face the facts, anon. Wotlk was not a bad expansion, but it certainly was the period the game began to deteriorate, which is why that image has always had Wotlk as the scratched up original painting.
I've found that a lot of the complaints against WoW, not just currently but going all the way back to even Burning Crusade, is that they don't want the game to be an MMO like...well like WoW. They want it to be like Everquest but new, but not Everquest 2 because it's not the same.
Which makes me wonder why a person would even play a game if they want it to be fundamentally different from what it is.

I don't think you understand what an MMO RPG actually is:
MMO - Massively multipalyer with player interaction. That means communicating, planning strategy, executing together. Share victory share defeat.
At the moment literally 95% of the content doesn't require planning, or acting 'together' in any way. Most of it is just everyone do their own thing.
If blizzard released LFG 'bots' that would basically be a bot that tanks/heals/DPS for you, and never actually told people about releasing it... Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
RPG - Role playing game. Leveling. Progression. Getting new spells. Developing your character. They gutted this whole process. The 1-max level which should be the 'bulk' of the RPG experience is rushed through as an afterthought. They removed any sense of value that visual gear sets had.
And therefore severely damaged character development.
WoW is no longer an MMO or an RPG. It's some form of dull arcade game. Like say a much shittier version of dota.
In dota you wait in the lobby hit 'search for match' go to the game. Atleast in dota it fosters team communicaiton and strategy.. In WoW just roll your face on the keyboard for 20 mins.
The whole 'world' of warcraft. That massive uninstanced seamless zone transitioning world has been reduced to a lobby waiting screen for spamming face roll dungeons.
This is why WoW is dying and wont' ever be good again. It's no longer an MMO RPG. It;'s a shitty arcade game.

Completely blizzlike progression server. BWL had launched a few months ago, AQ was being beta tested and was going to launch this month, naxx was going to launch in a few months, BC servers were to be released within a year. It had 150k active players on it and was completely free. No cash-shop, no increased xp, absolutely nothing extra. Very few bugs/glitches. They even abstained from taking donations so that maybe Blizzard wouldn't shut them down for profiting.
It was perfect in nearly every way and then Blizzard came along and killed it.
