Personally I found crystal sage to be harder. When he spawns all the clones of himself they all non stop pelt you with magic and they can really fuck you up.

That fight ended really weirdly for me, he managed to get caught in the wall at the very end of the cave, so that mist he uses to prevent you getting around his back flooded the entire back end of the area. Managed to get him, but the mist got me at the last second.

You know you stupid faggots a boss can just be poorly designed. Disliking a boss doesn't mean it was difficult some of the best bosses in the game are difficult. Although I disagree OP in that I liked that boss.
Wolnir and Yhorm are perfect examples of boringly easy bosses that have arbitrary 1 shot mechanics and feel like a chore because of it.

It's funny that you mention Wolnir and Yhorm because these are the two bosses that I massively overthought when fighting them. I ended up killing Wolnir with his right bracelet still intact and spent a good amount of time trying to problem solve Yhorm until reading about his gimmick. I then "first" tried him in 30 seconds with the sword.

I think this game is confusing as fuck. I need to find a "doll" and, instead, went way off the path and ended up killing the old demon king or whatever he was. I can never figure out this obscure shit. I'm great at the game, just not the shitty little puzzles for advancing the story.
