Is leveling up dex for greatswords worth it? Normally I go a strength tank build, but I've noticed that so far I don't have the dex for any greatswords. I always used the bastard sword in the other games, but if it's that much worse than what I am doing now then I might as well forget it.

I heard the invasion system is based on weapon upgrades, so I think for Farron not being passed +3 helps, and I think +6 for aldrich.

I didn't use any guides, I used common fucking sense, after playing souls games since 2011 from soft is repeating themselves QUITE a lot, none of the NPCS quests were obscure and even the Hollow quest line is fucking explained word by word to you by Yuria, you'd have to be mentally handicapped not to be able to follow it.

Just my speculation from reading several item descriptions and filling in gaps with headcanonI believe that some time after the twilight of anor londo in ds1 pontiff sully came and took over the kingdom, defeated and overthrew gwyndolin (chosen undead didn't canonically kill him) and made anor londo into the boreal valley/irithyll. Aldrich took on the blob form and sully fed the remains of gwyndolin to Aldrich to keep it satiated since Aldrich didn't devour regular men anymore
