- Sword rogues are best, cap hit rating
- Horde ret paladin > alliance ret paladin
- Shadowbolt pet sac destro warlock > fire warlock
- Bring like 3 shadowpriests in full tailoring gear
- Tell your enhance shaman to learn how to totem twist
- Slam on warrior resets the swing timer, get a mod to learn how to cast slam just as you land a white hit
- arms > fury unless you got Warglaives
> Look up the BM hunter 1 button macro and you will do the best DPS possible
> Resto druids learn how to roll super buffed lifeblooms

Mutilate just does not work in T5 since so many bosses are immune to poisons unless they go with a later patch that removed those problems.
Combat Swords is hands down the #1 spec for rogues in TBC.
If you really want to go multilate, learn how to pool your energy to burst as hard as you can during mutilate buff.

Personally I think that Nostalrius was special because they had some good scripts, you could kite enemies like in retail, abuse fences etc; enemies had good AI for the most part, Hunters were playable because pets would normally listen to you etc... I don't think this server will have those things be polished like on nostalrius, especially at the start of it.

I think the landscapes are silly looking colour coded crap. I think the raids are ok. I think karazhan is great. PvP was horribly balanced indeed. I don't know how you think all the progression matters when TBC invented the badge system, so you could run kara and skip other raids with badge gear. Dungeons were horribly balanced, especially heroics which were often way more trouble than they were worth. The soundtrack has been excellent in every version of warcraft. Armour sets are just opinions really.

BC actually introduced the most harmful things that fucked up WoW in the long run. Not just did they fuck up how the games are developed, they fucked up how people played and interacted with the world irreversibly. Daily quest hubs, flying mounts, etc.
For everything it improved over the massive fucking issues vanilla had that everyone pretends made the game better, it introduced some of the worst things to ever happen to WoW.

Nost made it clear that once one gets too big, Blizz will just shut it down.
You will get a couple months out of one at most, and then lose all your progress. And in vanilla/TBC, you need more than just a couple months to get anywhere significant.

For Vanilla I'd suggest trying Kronos. A lot of Nostalrius players fled there. It's got a cash shop but I don't think it's p2w.
For TBC, I'd suggest Hellground. It's also a bit buggy but it's been out for years and had years of changelogs.
I'd still play on PlayTBC for shits and giggles.
For WoTLK I'd suggest Warmane Lordaeron. Population is very similar to Nostalrius. Has no vote shop and cash shop is apparently extremely expensive and doesn't have the current tier of items on the shop IIRC.

I heard Warmane on Cataclysm is okay. Cataclysm and MoP servers in general aren't that great scripted because the whole game pretty much change completely requiring everything to be rescripted; a decade of private server core content. Don't be expecting that much when playing on Cata/MoP servers.

There's literally hundreds of other WoW servers. The only thing that makes playtbc different is that it's releasing at a very convenient time.
At the moment:
