I really try to like this game and still play it every now and then but it's so incredibly repetitive. Been doing the same missions for 30 hours and the weapon upgrades are slow as fuck, not to mention locked behind story rank most of the time.

Guns work differently. In FW you had ammo, in this you have a bar you fill by smacking monsters and how much your shots consume from that bar depends on how you design your bullets. Guns also operate more like cannons this way. There are 6 melee weapons, short/long/buster swords, hammer, spear and scythe
Instead of having a thorn you jump and dash around
weapon crafting is much more traditional and pretty different from FW's crafting system.

Freedom Wars dropped to 10 FPS in multiplayer, had fucking 6 Monsters that were completly the same, absolutey terrible aiming for a fast paced Mon Hun clone and absolute dogshit crafting system. (Required part: XX-Material 2.1 Will-O Servomotor, good luck finding out where the fuck you get that)
I rather play 240p MH4U with that terrible 3DS control than Freedom Wars.
