I don't know why, but psychs seem to throw it around a lot. My brother got diagnosed with it, and spent like 5 years on antipsychotics before they were like 'lolnope it was just ocd'. Met a couple of alleged schizos in hospital too and 90% of them got it revised down to some variety of anxiety after a couple of months
