This is the real casual filter that I've encountered so far. I have friends who tried this game and not a single one of them could figure out how to stop the room filling with curse and actually beat the boss. They pretty much raged about being one-shot and bullshit mechanics and then quit playing.

There are some shitty boss attacks in DS3. I can't believe they brought back that jump up and breath down fire instant kill attack from the ancient dragon in DS2 back.
Come to think of it, most of the challenge in DS3 comes from enemies that attack from offscreen.
Haven't actually fought him properly yet, only did it once on a summon and died. Looks fucking cool though.

Dark Souls 3 seems to be the polar opposite of the other souls games in how to approach boss fights.
The best strategy for every fight so far seems to be run up to the boss and murder the shit out of it as fast as you can.
Playing cautiously just gets you killed by long range attacks, or killed by shit like those guys do to you.
Only the frigid dancer, and that giant gaping bridge-rat thing at the boreal valley seems to give you reason to back up.
Champion Gundyr is hard as fuck, but he really isn't a filter because you don't need to fight him

Gascoigne is pretty much a crash course on how to play the game. Just dodge and parry. His beast mode can fuck you up, but you can kill him mid transformation with molotovs.

This game has a lot of glitches that don't affect people evenly. Some people can't play the game at all due to a graphics card glitch that means they can't hit or be hit by enemies. Some people who have lighting graphics set to max can't get past the first bonfire, and only some of the people affected by that can fix it by lowering it.
Basically, like every other PC Dark Souls release, this shit is janky as fuck.
The first part of the fight will they will themselves if you wait long enough.

Nah. It's a ton of fun to use and a great weapon overall. Downside is you can't two-hand the weapon, but it's such a blast to use it doesn't matter.

Because he is literally impossible. Parrying makes no sense. When I parry him it feels like it should be a parry but instead its a partial parry.
It feels like parrying him is beyond my own comprehension. Like I can't tell whether I'm doing it to soon or too late.

I use this cool looking scythe I got from the forest from killing the creatures with the multiple wings. I forgot what it's called, but it's super cool. It's pretty great for pvp. Better than the flippy fun guts sword.

I had a feeling that I had to attack they guy with the red glow, but I forgot to attack hit him because I was too busy massacring everything with the farron greatsword L1. Somehow in the genocide that followed I never killed the glowing one until I realized that I had to actually kill the boss.
That moment is probably going to be one of my most fun moments in all of Dark Souls, the spinning and leaping just was so good.

So far I'm finding DS3 to be as bout as hard as my very first time through DS1.
Maybe it's because I missed out on playing Bloodborne, but the weird sort of difficulty in this game and random moments of easiness keep throwing me off, I'm enjoying it so far and I'm sure people will say they're all roughly the same difficulty but I sure as shit never had a hard time in DS2 despite it's overall shittier controlling, this feels more like DS1 and yet I can still breeze through it.

DaS2 wasn't linear until you hit Drangleic Castle. Right at the beginning you have access to two different areas, which will eventually converge at the same place, but you don't need to go through both of them. Even after killing Dragonrider, one of the first bosses in the game, you can get access to the Huntsman's Copse, and as soon as you get access to a Fragrant Branch of Yore, which thanks to Scholar you can get pretty early, you can get access to the Shaded Woods, and as soon as you buy the Silver Cat Ring, you can go through the Grave of Saints and get to the Gutter and Black Gulch. You don't really need to do anything in the first half of Dark Souls 2 in any particular order and it's fairly open ended. I don't like Dark Souls 2 much, but Dark Souls 3 is much more linear

I found the best way to beat this guy was just to buttstab him to death. Its still Souls so everything might as well have a giant flashing sign over its head saying "Im about to attack you!!" so just dodge and buttstab works in both 3v1 and 1v1 fire mode.

Go buy the 20 000 souls key at the old lady, enter the firelink shrine tower. There's a path you can jump down with a bunch of loot, including the fire keeper robes. You then exit the tower by opening the door behind the Sword Master (guy with the katana).

From where I'm standing there's no real reason not to pump points into everything super high since it seems like there's no actual soft-cap like in Ds1, and unlike Ds2, there's no soul memory system in place so those of us that actually managed to get like, past level 300 and get into the "open" SM bracket would be able to play with each other.

You can kill that Uchigatana guy very early in the game with a bow. Get the Longbow from the beginning of High Wall of Lothric and get up on the roof of Firelink Shrine, near Snuggly the Crow. It takes a few minutes and about 15 hits (buy 99 wood arrows for misses) to kill him this way, but at least you won't die.
