Rodea is shit on everything but the original Wii version, which is actually pretty good even though it uses waggle. But the 3DS and Wii U versions, which are pretty much totally different games from the original, are pure trash.
FFE is awful so I dunno how you managed to enjoy that the most.
Also wow you literally stopped playing SMD during the tutorial. Not that I blame you, the tutorial is probably the worst I've ever seen in a game. People joke about handholding in games, SMD literally has the MC's hand being held through the first few dungeons, and railroading and metaphorical handholding continue throughout the rest of the main storyline.

Keep in mind that you can use it to play old games (currently GB/C, GBA, NES, SNES, and a handful of Genesis games are available), either get the proper emulators or just inject the VC versions. I recommend the latter, it's generally cleaner and GBA emulation as of now kind of sucks cock. As a side note, you really should try the GBA and SNES fire emblem titles, they're really solid strategy games despite 13 and 14 being the casualized, pandering trainwrecks that they are.

The amount of customization is dizzying. You can mutate a single ability to do 14 different things. You can have your dodge ability have a chance to instant cooldown, reduce cooldowns, heal, cast regen, cast reraise, cast hast, cast float, cast reflect, and cancel into another skill which increases that skills' damage considerably.

People just like different games than you, probably. Most who flip out over the 3DS are either big Nintendo fans who like most of what they put out, are MonHun crazy, or are in it for the MegaTen and EO games Atlus puts out. Personally, I like a lot of the games on it and about as much as I like my Vita, but both have less stuff of worth than the DS or PSP did, and a smaller range of genres overall.
I think it's the fact that a lot of third party devs who supported the DS and PSP heavily either went to make F2P mobile shit which does nothing interesting and just adheres to all the usual trends trying to milk as much cash, or went bankrupt over the past generation. Nintendo themselves have also been somewhat of a mess this generation for various reasons, though they still put out some good stuff.

not him but, I do enjoy Estival Versus.... on the PS4, played the Vita version with a friend and wow, half the framerate (understandable) half the enemies on screen, less types of enemies in maps,
I mean, in the PS4 version you fight hordes of ninjas, bear ninjas, cannon ninjas etc, and in the Vita version that same part of the level would only have a few amount of ninjas and all would be of the same type instead of varied.
HOWEVER, I do realize that Senran Kagura is more of a guilty pleasure that I wouldnt recommend to someone unless I know their taste.

Lemme think of some other third party games either I liked or I've seen others praise that I haven't seen you mention in the thread.
There's the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games, which some people like on the 3DS, but personally the last game in the series I really liked was Hero of Leaf Valley on PSP which was a remake anyways, and before that Harvest Moon DS. If you wanna give one of the 3DS ones a shot, the newest is Story of Seasons, and it's definitely an improvement over A New Beginning at the least. If you don't like slow games though, it's probably not for you. Avoid The Lost Valley period, it's Natsume's bootleg Harvest Moon with Minecraft elements because they still own the name but don't have licensing rights for the actual games anymore.
If you're cool with imports, Gaist Crusher is pretty fun in my opinion. It's a 3D beat-em-up by Treasure and Capcom, with five playable characters with their own customizable melee movesets then a different weapon moveset gotten from each boss in the game. Download Gaist Crusher God, it has the entire original included, a sequel of content, and online co-op, though I doubt many are online considering it flopped in Japan. There's some content you can't access anymore though because Capcom pulled some bullshit QR Code unlocks where the images were only on the site at certain times and several were never archived.

We own pretty much all of them, including Popolocrois which I had actually played through the PSP version and enjoyed. There's the Inazuma Eleven series, which are RPGs where Soccer is the battle system. They're a tad easy in maingame, but can actually be pretty fun despite it and endgame and post-game can actually get hard sometimes. The 3DS has in english IE3 which is the end of the first trilogy, Go which is the fourth game and the start of a second trilogy, and Go Chrono Stones which is the fifth. IE3 has the most content but is a DS port, CS is the most recent built for the 3DS in English. There's also multiple versions for the games, but it doesn't really matter which you get, except IE3 you should get Team Ogre. The sixth game, Galaxy, isn't out in Europe yet, though it has as much content as IE3.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is a pretty fun and interesting rhythm game, though if you don't like Final Fantasy music, you probably shouldn't bother. Japan has a Dragon Quest variant if you like its music.
It's an earlier game, but the Shinobi on 3DS is alright and often overlooked.
If you're into Ace Attorney, there's Dual Destinies, though it's one of the weaker entries in the series. Namely lots of handholding and lack of being able to examine every little thing.

There's nothing special about doing repetitive quests or getting shiny new gear. I've done it a ton of times in countless games. This gives little to no sense of progression.
Literally all there is to the game is fight a monster over and over until you've learned it and beat it. And then you do the same thing again. Sure, it's fun. But it isn't enough. There are tons of games which do more than just that. There's nothing special about MonHun. Even MMOs give you a better sense of progression.
And no, combat=/=gameplay. There is more to a game than just fighting things. But it seems like you can't comprehend that because you most likely grew up playing shitty MMOs. How about you learn to appreciate other aspects of games than eating up the same garbage over and over again?

Looker Bureau was one of the few redeeming parts of XY and far better than Delta Episode, the former was actually entertaining while the latter has story so fucking dumb it would make Fire Emblem Fates feel shame. I guess there's the Emerald Wallace Champ fight and the Deoxys fight at the very end to make up for it, but not personally. Either way they may have similar structures but it's not really a copypaste. And yeah, Maison being copypasted was trash, especially since anyone who cared for the Maison had probably already cleared it by the time ORAS came out and never wanted to touch it again.
Only the first three gyms are nerfed from RS with lower levels, the fourth and fifth are the same, and the sixth on are all higher leveled. And all of them have better movesets in ORAS. The only things to make them easier are Megas or if you're one of the fags who abuses EXP Share.Not to mention they were never hard to begin with at all in RSE, Contests as well, but whatever.
Regardless, at the absolute least it's still a much better game than XY because even vanilla RS was a much better game than XY, and ORAS is at least better than that. Merely a sidegrade to Emerald though at best. Should've been much better, but they fucked up by not carrying over what made Emerald good.
