It's just another trash moba, only in first person. It's pretty much written by Anthony Burch, even though he didn't write it.
I played the story mission by myself and it's super lame. There's no music and all the voice acting is seriously low quaity, like they didn't even try a little bit. Combat isn't anything special and I keep getting stuck on geometry.
Honestly makes me feel like I'm playing Strife in first person.

You know what I finally got to play a VS match and it's not too bad. It's just not $60 good, especially since the story missions are so awful.
Game is good with potential for greatness. Play it as a shooter with objectives not a MOBA. Supposedly AI is going to be updated so that should help keep things interesting. The story missions are fun/good enough if you don't zerg rush through them like a retard.

The problem with hybrid titles is that they're impossible to present. Demon's Souls and the original Borderlands had this problem originally as well.

I played for 2k+ hours and in the end I had like 70 out of ~100 or so champions and barebones runes (welfare runes were nerfed too because fuck you t. rito) and couldn't even buy extra rune pages.
Either the characters should all be free from the get-go or the model should be similar to Smite where you can buy all current and future characters on one purchase.

No, but I definitely remember the praise and hype abuzz about it. The Meet the X videos, the fan created content, all of it before it went Free 2 Play and Hats and other shitty updates plunged the game into an Indian street. I've not the slightest interest in TF2 but it's a damn shame what happened to it.

I played a couple rounds and I don't know if it's just me, but Oscar Mike seems way less effective than he was in the previous beta. He seemed pretty good before but not ridiculously good, so I'm not sure if they nerfed him or if I'm just rusty.
Orendi's pretty fun though.

Played and won two games, had fun. It suffers from a typical ASSFAGGOTS design flaw wherein if you're getting shit on, there's no real way to stage a comeback.

Actually playing Montana is a pain in the ass, since you're fucking huge and soak up everything without even trying. You can also get stuck on tiny obstacles in the lane like ledges and minions that you can't see due to your viewmodel.

He's pretty good. His guns kinda sucks, but his grenades do a ton of damage, and his ult as well. He can do a dash if you double press X in the direction your moving so you can dance around the enemy and try to get in a bunch of shots to make up for shit damage. His ult let's him hover in the air and do 500+ to an area with a dive bomb attack. His blade is slow, but can be used with the life steal upgrade and some damage upgrades. I like him a lot, he's really fun when you get the hang of his dashes. Also he's a fucking decepticon. You can't go wrong there.
Played the closed beta. It was okay, but had some glaring issues to do with balance.
Played a little of the open beta today. It was pretty decent, they've improved it quite a bit.
Overall it's okay/10.makes me want SMNC back

Somehow I keep pressing the wrong buttons and opening my helix when I mean to clothesline. But I'm still enjoying him.

I've been playing orendi very hit and run to great success. You just kind of show up to fights that are already happening and try to lead your fire pillar. Q is a really good escape, but you can also use it to "reset" the cd for fire pillar if you need to.
She's a pretty good character to run around the map and collect crystals because half of playing her is suprising people and forcing them to panic when they suddenly have half HP out of nowhere. Also makes her really good for taking out enemy turrets and getting behind enemy lines to kill snipers.
Really she's got a suprising amount of maneuverability once you get the talent to refresh your Q and can do a good job terrorizing people you catch alone.
So, what CAN we unlock? Alot of these characters need story missions to unlock them early, and they're not all available, right?

You can unlock all of them, they all have an alternate lock requirement of a certain Command Level.
Not really worth it though, beta progress isn't going to carry over. You can get about 10-11 of them unlocked without too much trouble.

You get more points based on performance and winning games. Also there's character ranks, those give you skins, rare loot packs, mutations and poses. How the fuck is it challenging? I only remember dying to exploding bots blindsiding me. 1000 damage kills many characters.
I think ISIC might be on a bit of the overpowered side.
He has an amazing escape (which is also a 2 second stun), two different types of shields, and an AoE charge shot. His ultimate is very situational tho.
They should nerf his shields a slight bit or at least make his right click shield on a cooldown or something

All future maps will be free and there's at least 5 free characters coming because they don't want to split the player-base.
The only paid DLC is more campaign levels which also come with unique taunts and skins. It's a pretty good system because you will never need to pay to keep "up to date" (like Destiny where if you don't buy each DLC you basically can't play) thus keeping the population together and it's impossible to pay for an advantage.
But I don't know how profitable campaign DLC will be, their Borderlands DLCs were always the best content in each game and well worth the money but I don't know if Battleborn's campaign will be good enough to warrant spejding more money when the main focus is the multiplayer.
It's really fun. I already pre-ordered the digital deluxe version. Truthfully Gigantic is a better game, but it's just not ready to come out and the dev staff is restructuring/rehiring.

W10 and Xbone crossplay. Gigantic is worth the upgrade tho if you want to play a game made by the old Arenanet developers. It plays more like Forge or GW2 arena than a traditional moba. It's also very fast paced, like Bloodline Champions.

I used to love playing Rath before people started realizing that they could just turn around and sprint away from me. Even if I use my knockup and then hit them with the slowing crossblade, I just can't do enough damage to them before they sprint off. I really only kill people who are already occupied fighting something else, or people who are dumb enough to backpedal and try to kill me first instead of sprinting away.

I've finished Galilea's. I'm like 200 XP from hitting 15 with her. After doing a few of them or maybe its just one specific one per character I'm not entirely sure, you unlock a gear piece with character specific bonuses. The one I got for Galilea gives me an extra 240 Shield (or maybe 140), ~5% attack damage and Galilea specific is 140 health regen when Corruption empties.

Played about 5 hours now, one run through story, lots of games.
I'm not impressed, the game feels sloppy and chaotic but in a bad way due to the focus on controlling choke points. Plus victories are landslides on one side or the other once the first sentry is lost. All my games ended in surrender by my team or theirs because the snowball effect is insane.
It hasn't got the art style appeal of LOL and the writing is god awful, just a bunch of memes and dumb references. The characters aren't memorable and they all have different art styles, the character select screen doesn't fit together as a unit.
Maybe it'll be fun with friends but who knows. I think they were too late to get on the moba bandwagon.

Also play a story mode mission first to get a feel for how the game works. Look through the abilities and the Helix level system for characters you plan on using and see which upgrades and abilities appeal to you.
Once you get used to that make a gear loadout and hope into PvP. Make sure to pick up shards during the game and make buildables and kill enemy buildables. Stay at range if you are a ranged character and learn to use cover and lanes to get close if you are a melee character.
