Last night I bought this game and while it was installing, I had an existential crisis and realized that life was meaningless. I've been struggling with depression lately and for some reason at that point it suddenly got worse. I'm a knight and I allocate points evenly in vigor, endurance, vitality, strength and dexterity (because of weapon requirements sometimes), all of which are at about 20 points. I'm level 38ish (I think) and I'm still using my 3+ flame infused broadsword because other weapons require 28+ str.

That's been my question to almost every boss fight in DaS 3.
I used shields a lot in DaS1 and 2, but in this game, you get staggered so easily that I have to git gud at rolling through everything.I've made it past the Dragonslayer Armor, so I can't be that bad at it
They really overdid the demon corpses in the demon ruins. The first time i saw a dead Capra i thought it was pretty cool but then the corpses were fucking everywhere. Same with the Stray and Taurus demon statues/corpses. I fucking get it fromsoft, they used to live there or something.

It's really odd because I'm getting anywhere from 40 - 60 fps depending on the area but my game will literally lock up for 5 - 10 seconds randomly and its just getting aggrevating. Even on the lowest settings at 720p this shit happens... It looks like DSK1 on these settings yet this shit is happening...

cathedral of the deep is pretty difficult due to the lack of bonfires and decent shortcuts, constant ambushes and horrific mobs. Designwise its also pretty naff, nice setting, but everything is such a trial to get to, and you'll be running through the same area at least a dozen times from the constant deaths.
the swamp is a shitty designed area, but is pretty easy if you stay in unkindled form as no players can invade you, but the swamp and poison is just sickening. more time consuming then difficult, but the boss is challenging if you one vs one him.
Then you have the catacombs...run through that as soon as possible as it's literally cancer: the area
after all that you'll get to some decent areas and have some fun

Lightning Spears are meant to be thrown at point blank range for maximum damage.
Gnawing and Dohry's Gnawing are spells for when you need to aggro an enemy. They also inflict heavy bleed damage, so pairing those miracles with a bleed-inflicting weapon is a good idea.
You have tons of buffs and heals at your disposal. Make good use of them.
Try to regen with chimes or the Regeneration miracle to save as much estus as possible.FAI pairs pretty well with Luck because of Anri's Straight Sword, which is a Luck-scaling weapon that has built-in HP regeneration. The Gnawing miracles also help you bleed things out even faster, and I've been told that LIfehunt Scythe scales with Luck, too. I've done the build myself. It's really interesting.
