I don't know why people bitch about the writing. It's meant to be lighthearted and I think it's pretty good. Talking to all the animals and shit is great.

ive sunk many hours into this game, the co-op combat is just amazing so if you can i would suggest you force a friend to buy the game aswell (what i did)
its fun on other levels aswell, it got puzzle elements to it (which i find quite enjoyable and i only had to google 1 puzzle because i couldnt for the life of me find a 4th button i needed to press)
alot of people dislike the wirting and overall "style" the game is, but think Terry Pratchett but with more blood. i think it mix silly & serious very well

from what i understand its all the crybabies who want a gritty and depressing world who are most vocal about it, it makes sense because when you are fine with something you tend to not leave feedback

I played it with a friend and really enjoyed it
the writing is bad but I found the silly stuff to be charming and give it a feel that you're playing a dnd campaign and when you're in co-op it kind of reinforced the experience
The combat is fun and theres alot of depth to making a well rounded party because using the enviromental effects becomes important early on.
