outside of maybe uncharted 2 its the most overrated game iv ever played in my life.
cheesy story thats been done to death with plot points you see coming a mile away. mediocre gameplay(tho not bad) that doesnt do anything interesting and generally comes off as shallow in all of its many gameplay features, inconsistant AI, bad "puzzles", horridly repetitive enemies and setups.
the game also has some bad pacing issues. the 2-3hour tutorial, way too many forced movement bits, waiting on npc's and going through barren environments. theres atleast 2-3 points in the game where i thought it was going to end soon but kept going for a few more hours. i wouldnt classify it as a movie game, it does have a lot of gameplay, but it breaks those sequences up so often with the above mentioned that it can still be very annoying. its also because of all that i really dont like to replay it either. its not a game that you can just "get to" because of all the forced cinematic "gameplay" bullshit.
the games not bad and i did enjoy it, but it baffles the fuck out of me how it got so much recognition.

Yeah I've played maybe an hour of it and it's lost me. Incredibly dull stealth and CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE out the arse. Might go back to it but eh. As cinematic as God of War is at least it gives you control over most of it.

It's the scourge of modern gaming, that slow walking, glorified cutscene bullshit. At least with cutscenes you can skip them but these segments completely grind the game to a halt and completely kill my drive to replay them. Even Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time did it for fuck sake and it took me ages to be bothered replaying it. The earlier games had the common decency to keep that shit separate and therefore they are more fun to replay because you don't have to worry about garbage like slow walking. I am not liking how this new one is turning out.

Because games are so desperate to be seen as an artistic medium that even fucking zombies told with a bit of emotion brings out the accolades. The writing isn't even particularly good, either. Uncharted has better writing, even and more gameplay (even if it is insufferably boring.

Nah, it's just really good.
It doesn't do anything new or special that other games in the past haven't already accomplished. But playing through the game on grounded difficulty without upgrading anything for the very first time was an absolutely mesmerizing experience. Also the multiplayer has been surprisingly fun and keeps me coming back.
It's very well made and the setting was interesting for a blind playthrough

I don't think it really did all that much to stand out from other third person cover/stealth shooters in gameplay. The story and character developments were nothing special. It also looks nice.

-Not much replay value
-Kind of linear gameplay
-Crafting and salvage and could be way more interesting
-Bland variety of bad guys

gameplay wise if youre not into it by the time you get to bills town then the rest of it wont do much for you (tho i will say after that it does get slightly better). story wise its got some good banter and characterizations, but its core story is immensely cliched and you will most likely see where its heading at every plot point.

Listen Mode was added for casual fags, you can even remove it in the option menu. Without it, the gameplay feel a lot better because you must pay attention to the level design and analyze the situation with your own eyes.
