I read the manual they gave to alpha testers. It looked like they had it all figured out and had good systems in place.

What do you want? /v/ is full of young casual baby's these days including the mods. Most of them have never even heard of this game let alone played it.

>most people have never played babby's first casual "old school rpg"
So is it safe tobuy it on steamyet?
I recently started a playthrough for the first time after owning it on Steam for a few years. Hope it's half as good as I've heard. I liked the music in that nightclub.

Not that guy but Bloodlines isn't exactly ancient and has a huge cult following. It's been played by basically anyone who cares about video games more than a Chad.
"Casual" might not be technically accurate, bu the spirit of the statement isn't far off the mark.
I'm a maniacal PC gamer and I still haven't played this.Shame on me

I thought Activision didn't own it anymore though?
>>333919765
Activision will always own this particular game, they just don't possess the license to make anymore.
Unless they pay White Wolf again, that is. Apparently, even though they are now owned by Paradox, White Wolf is free to license to any publisher they want to.
Also, all that "Pirate because Activision are evil and closed down Troika" stuff is all bullshit. They reality is Troika went massively overbudget and were well behind schedule. I don't understand why people are so quick to condemn publishers for the same shit they themselves do when it's a kickstarter funded game. You'd have thought kickstarter would be an enlightening experience that revealed it isn't always publisher = evil, developer = good.
>>333920573
This. I really don't like activision and feel a lot of this is more their fault than Troika, but at the same time if it wasn't for activision the game wouldn't exist in the first place.
>>333920738
>a lot of this is more their fault than Troika
I think that's highly debatable.
Apparently a huge reason as to why the development of Bloodlines was such a mess was that Troika decided to take on the contract to develop The Temple of Elemental Evil for Atari while they were supposed to be developing Bloodlines. Activision actually wound up sending their own inhouse developers to Troika to help with the development of Bloodlines and they found themselves instead working on The Temple of Elemental Evil, a competitor's game.
This sort of crap is why Troika went out of business, word spreads in the industry and nobody wanted to hire a developer that operates that way.
>>333921526
Yeah Troika definitely had a lot of management issues, but I think Activision should have had a bigger hand in it from the start. It's a shame because aside from all the stupid shit Troika had a fantastic team and Rik Shaffer was a god tier composer
