It was a neat concept executed poorly. Everything needed to be grinded. Everything from characters to fucking abilities had to be purchased or grinded for. Slowly.
The concept isn't dead though. KF2 has a new versus survival mode that plays like a better, less clunky version of Nosgoth.

The matchmaking is atrocious. Every game is 3v4 with 200+ ping retards who don't understand how to select a server. This is literally what killed the game.

I avoided that game as soon as I heard it was multi-player. I know that's some people's cup of tea, but I'm still waiting on the next single-player Legacy of Kain installment... which will probably never happen at this point.
I tried to have my optimism for this game but the lack of players and forced cash shop bullshit really did in my interest.
Guess it only makes sense that this rots with that failed Soul Reaver reboot it would have been tacked on to.
