Yeah, it's worth spending some time with it. Try not to worry about the World Tendency bullshit.
I swear I try not to be a min/maxer but given how many items are locked behind certain tendencies and how few ways there are to manipulate it it's a bit infuriating. i.e. it's real easy to go Pure Black but good fucking luck getting Pure White short of special events where they set it server side.
Of course this is a Souls game soo... maybe I should justgit gud
