Recently did it on N64. Just one twitch and you land on the lower level and even if you are first and all the others are way behind the game INSTANTLY puts you at 6 or 7, that's how horrible the shortcut is. And of coruse the computer ALWAYS goes the right way. I really, really hate that track. And the funny thing is, although I could remember almost anything from 15 years ago, The Abyss and the swamp on Baroonda were totally wiped from memory.
