The casualized difficulty, although sad, is the least of my worries. It made it approachable yet "deep" for casuals, which would've made it more "fun" for them to play.
Although it wasn't challenging and the game wasn't the best sequel compared to the GBA games, it had enough room to improve upon.

Granted, not as good as Secret of Mana / FF VIII, but for handheld JRPG's they were quite literally perfect. Flawless games.
