Yes, there are idiots here on /v/. Emulate games if you want to. Touchscreen controls work well enough for turn based RPGs, and for anything else you can just connect a controller. I used to play games on my Nexus 7 before it cracked with my Dualshock 3/4.
The mobile ports of Max Payne and Oddworld games are good and all support controllers.

If there is it runs like complete ass. I'm not sure how powerful that tablet is but if it's strong enough you may be able to play less intensive GameCube games with dolphin emu pretty decently.

It really just depends on your situation. I didn't have a laptop, so I used my tablet to emulate and play games while in bed. I play a lot of JRPG anyway and those are completely playable with a touchscreen.

Nope. Surprisingly enough, it just worked when I plugged it in. If I'm not mistaken the same will happen if you plug in a 360 controller. You can even plug in Mouse & Keyboard but I'm not sure if that works with games.
Don't forget you need an OTG cable to do it though. It only costs like $2-5

Yeah you use that cord to plug it in, but you need the adapter so you can give your tablet a USB port to plug it in with. I never actually tried it, but you can actually connect a PS3 controller through Bluetooth somehow if you want to do that instead.
