>randomized personalities
>trucking simulator
>no postgame score screen
>espionage is op
and some other shit i'm forgetting
>>333826896
>It takes fucking forever for spies to get anything done
If anything, espionage is broken.
>>333826896
>First game
>Send an operative to collect money from nearby rival city
>Comes back after 20 or so turns with 11 gorillan fun bux
Broken as shit.
is like a civ 5 exp and not a new game
civ 5 being half-broken did not help
one of the core elements of civ is getting emotionally invested in your civilisation, talking to other leaders, getting angry at them, etc. beyond earth is so far removed from history, culture etc and the leaders are so bland that you never really care that much.
mechanically it was competent but didn't offer any real advantages over civ v, just differences that ultimately felt rather arbitrary. many of the new systems the game touted really didn't end up having much effect on the gameplay

oh right
i always went whoever got the espionage bonus. i think arc?
i'd always rush spy stuff at the start then cause a coup in enemy capitals, then trade the capital with another civ for money and watch them get forced into a war with whoever's capital it was
My biggest beef is that no one but me want to purge the Xenos.
It's like every civ, regardless of ideology, are the Gaians.

Once they make Alpha Centauri 2, then they'll be on the right track.
Anything else is garbage.
