In this game? None. In Xrd, they are the definitive way to play since you can chat with other people and get in various rooms within the lobby playing against different players. I never play Ranked in Xrd. Only lobbies. In SFV I don't bother with lobbies.

There is a point at least for me because matchmaking is taking about an hour to find anyone, but you can manually connect to someone's lobby.
Such a fun character to play but goddamn does he have bad matchups. Against competent Chun-Li, I feel like there's nothing to do. Also the lack of reversal means you are gonna have to block every goddamn normal.
