What the fuck went wrong with Xenosaga?
The entire first episode was a bloated mess that just kept cockteasing the audience for 40 hours, the second episode was a really shitty battle system and a bunch of corridors and lame sidequests with brief flashes of cool shit (pic fucking related, at least until they suddenly start charging shitty energy balls instead of actually clashing swords), and episode three is finally a half decent game and the series just fucking ends on a cliffhanger.
How did Takahashi and his team fuck up that hard? How has he not made anything this terrible since if he's this prone to making garbage? How is this the only shitty part of the Xeno franchise?
Half the cast sucked. Kos mos should have been main character.

The Jin/Margulis scenes were only good at points, because half of their shared screen time went too far into Kingdom Hearts territory with shitty energy blasts and energy coated swords.

Takahashi didn't even really have anything to do with III, and he wasn't even the director of II. It really just fell apart with Episode I trying to be way too fucking big for its own good, so II ended up being "The rest of I, gib mone pls" and the team tried to salvage the franchise/give SOME form of resolution with III.
