Ben Affleck as Batman was the only good thing in BvS and the only reason to really see the film. I still think it's not bad just really, really average. I believe the R version with the extra 30 minutes will be better and fix some of the problems in narrative and pacing. At least I can look forward to Ben's solo Bat movie.

The movie was great up until the point they actually meet as batman and superman when he kicks the batmobile.There was no reason for superman to intervene in batman chasing down the criminals smuggling the kryptonite, and even moreso -- Lex Luthor wanted batman to have the kryptonite in the first place, so why was he sacrificing his henchmen for an item he's going to give to batman anyway. Everything after that point is just horrendous plotholes, but another highlight was why Lois would go back after the spear when she had no communication with the heroes at that point in the plot.
There is absolutely no way she could have magically become aware that the spear would be needed, it's only nodded at in the larger narrative, so unless she's omniscient it's just shitty writing that didn't recognize differing knowledge between characters because they wrote it as a narrator.

That's only if you assume that he knew Bruce Wayne was Batman.
So how does that go? Lex Luthor knew about Wayne being Batman for at least a year and a half (since Superman showed up), since he was blocking the checks and putting messages on them. So he was assuming this would goad Batman into going after Superman, JUST IN CASE he needed a crime fighting vigilante to go after an alien super being. CW is making it look like it's Iron Man trying to atone for all the shit he's brought to the world and everyone else. Since IM3 he's been wanting to get out of harm's way and be as off hand as possible. With the Registration Act, its the perfect out for him. It absolves him of any future Avengers fuck up, and makes it so he doesn't have to over look everyone and end his "fight".

So Lex Luthor takes Zodd's body in the ship from Man of Steel, finds out about some ancient Kryptonian monster, puts his blood on Zodd's body in some cloning/birthing pool and makes Doomsday. Doomsday shoots lightning for a few minutes, then Batman lures it to an island away from Metropolis. Also, Metropolis and Gotham are like two seconds away from each other. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman end up fighting Doomsday on the island. Wonder Woman is able to cut its arm off, but it just regrows. Somehow, Lois knew to grab a Kryptonite spear that Batman made earlier in the film to kill Superman. She almost drowns getting the spear, but Superman saves her and holds on to the spear. Batman throws a Kryptonite gas bomb at Doomsday and Superman stabs it with the spear, but gets stabbed by Doomsday. Superman has a funeral and so does Clark Kent. Bruce Wayne asks for help from Diana to find the other Justice League members who were conveniently stored on Lex's laptop. The dirt on Superman's coffin kicks up and the credits roll. People look pissed and exit the theater.

The flash isn't an interesting hero because his power trumps everything. It would be one thing if he were just fast, but he manipulates time -- same issue with quicksilver. Every comic could end the moment they are aware of the location of the villain. Any encounter with anything that doesn't manipulate time would be about as difficult as a videogame where every enemy is frozen.

The biggest problem with the Flash TV series is how fucking bland and samey the characters are. There isn't actually anyone who's fun to watch and everyone is cut from the same mold with a little quirk to make them seem different. It almost feels like all the characters are written by the same person.

Batman is a fucking genius. He's the world's greatest detective, but he's also a little fucking mental. When Lois tells him that Supes was saying Martha because it's his mother's name, everything for Batfleck fell into place. All the missing pieces were filled in the puzzle and he realized the truth.
Superman is just a guy. He's a man, with people who know him and love him, with parents. And with a mom, who's name is the same as his own mother's.
Now, Batman's whole identity as the caped crusader is because he was powerless to save his mother and father from Joe in the alley. He was powerless and that's why his parents died, why he swore he'd never be powerless to defend the innocent again.
Snap back to BvS. Guess who's now powerless (literally), and unable to save his innocent mother? Superman is. Now, Batman sees himself as the one in power, about to allow a powerless man's innocent mother named Martha to die. He sees himself in the position of Joe, his parent's killer.
So he recoils with terror. Realizing what he's become. The people he's murdered to stop what he thought was an uncaring machine of an alien, here to threaten Humanity.
Watch Batman and Superman (when he wakes up) in JL both refuse to kill anyone again.
