Anyways, theres a big difference between science fiction, and science fantasy.
Overdesigned armor like OP's is science fantasy. Every single seam and joint is a chink in the armor. The ab plates should be overlapping like scales, and the gaps in the shoulder and hip areas are terrible from an armor design standpoint.
