I don't need to hear some Japanese little nigger yell at me and try to tell me what to do in a language I don't understand.
No voice chat is actually one of the greatest things about Splatoon. There are other games without voice chat such as Chivalry and the game actually benefits from it. It's more immersive to just hear the music and the inkling voices, instead of hearing some salty Mexican trying to tell everyone what to do, or some fucking dweeb with an annoying voice.

This 100%. Also, people online on Wii U are weird as fuck. They refuse ot fight on Smash and they just jump and spam booyah on Splatoon. Clearly children.
Voice chat with pubs is fucking awful in every game. Imagine how bad it would be in this with its much higher population of kids and Japanese.
You can just chat in Skype or something with friends if you want to team up. And don't give me the "voice chat allows better strategy with pubs" argument because you know damn well pubs will just not cooperate or listen to you 75% of the time.
It would be nice to have more prefab communication options, though, like how CS has. The touchscreen would make it a snap to have a lot of different things to say.
I can only play on real jap hours, so I don't find it useful at all, but I don't think anybody needs 12 years old (or /v/) crying memes in short spurts
