Do you purchase limited editions of games?

If so, why do you do it? Resale value? Bragging rights? Collectable figurines?
>>
I only get LE/CE's if they come with a decent incentive. Like an actual figurine (Tomb Raider, Dante's Inferno, etc) or some game breaking ingame item

Usually I'll buy for the artbook if I'm fond of the artists involved.

Only if it's a dev/game that I'm really in love with, like Vanillaware's stuff here >>333739576

Yup
I put whatever goodies they come with on display, and take a look at the art books for art practice references. Only special edition I ever regretted is the fucking xenoblade chronicles x SE. Its a god damn joke, the art book isn't even hard cover. Let the hype over take me

I did worse. I bought a limited edition PS4.
Now every time I want to play it I have to be reminded of my bitter disappointment with MGSV

I buy them for games I really love just to have something special, or on the rare occasion when they actually come with a real incentive to buy them like FE: Fates did.

Honestly most of them are shit but the kid in me can't help but be reminded of how cool the old Working Designs LE's were whenever I see one, so I keep doing it.
>>
The last time I bought a limited edition anything was the ALBW 3DS cause it looks cool.

I'm contemplating getting Senran Kagura 2 but that one is always a limited edition

Yes.

Same reason as this guy. Only one I regret is FF Type-0, because I barely played it.
I always get collectors editions of SMT and Persona games.

Is this version of FFXV worth the deluxe edition purchase + the PS4 I still need to get? the real collector's edition is too steep of a price for me, that and I have cons to go to.
>>
>>333743404
No!!! The Collector's Edition DEFINITELY was not worth the asking price, yet it was far superior to this.

Expect this to go on sale during the next major Square Enix Online sale.

for artbooks and also statues to a lesser degree, this collectors edition is worth it for the full sized art book alone.
