Yes, Honest Hearts. Although Joshua Graham was fantastic it was a really boring DLC.

>>333703418
I think they're tied, honestly.
The problem with Lonesome Road is that it hits the same note for too long.
Ulysses harping on you for something you as a player didn't even do or know about.
>>
>>333704126
That's the thing though. He could have instead harped on your actual fucking choices like how towards the end he judges you for your choice of faction. That would have been way better.

How is this shitty DLC so overrated here? Is it due to bandwaggoning?
>Reddit-tier characters who make penis jokes
>Replaying the same dungeons several times to complete quests
>Roboscorpions, nightstalkers, lobotomites everywhere
The Sink AIs are pretty great though
>>
>>333704361
Probably because Dead Money posed a challenge and that's too hard for casuals, Honest Hearts legitimately sucked, and Lonesome Road was 3feels5me.
>>
>>333704989
Dead Money is grating, but mostly in a good way (fuck those speakers though)

Lonesome Road gets annoying really really fast, with all the high level enemies and MUH BEAAAR AND THE BUUUULL

Honest Hearts gets too much hate, the setting is lovely and Joshua is great. Just go there early (while you're still low level) to avoid anti-materiel rifle wielding natives
>>
>>333704989
Wait since when was dead money hard? Just use the bear trap fist and everything melts there. You dont even need any points in unarmed for it to kill them fast.
>>
>>333705310
Honestly, Honest Hearts is shit because they use nothing to its potential. Its criminally short, you barely get much with Joshua, and then there's the "save the people from becoming bad" faggot that tries to shoehorn in a fucking peaceful message and its just irritating. Its got so much ruined potential that its definitely the worst.

>>333705490
That's not what gave the challenge. It was those fucking speakers.
>>
>>333705490
It's more the radio bullshit than the enemies, I feel.

Acshuly, side-quests generally send you all around the area, and Survivalist's caves are something that requires at least a bit exploring. Plus, when you see that large antennae in the center of the map, you just want to get there, even though nothing's really there, except for a cool view.

It's like $5, and entire new campaign that takes place after the main campaign. You play as an orc in the 5th pride that was allowed to live. 3 races, 3 classes.

It's not as quite as good as the main campaign, but it's still pretty fun.

Bandages maybe. Or a beartrap like in NV but then you fags would complain that a beartrap isn't useable as a weapon.

Even the base model securitrons had mounted grenade launchers and the lucky 38 was sealed shut before the courier came.

>how did you survive a bullet to the head?
People have survived much worse before and also it's a 9mm.

>enemy placement on the map forces you to railroad into a certain route (inb4 lol gid gud I slaughtered every deathclaw on my path right after I helped the starting town)
Not even a bad thing, the story was made for you to inquire about your attackers while you walk across the map. Going to the tops straight off would be skipping a bunch of content and it would butcher future dialogue options in areas like the Mojave outpost and Novac.

>legion isn't fleshed out at all, barely any missions, locations and unique NCPs, you can forget about most of your companions too
Considering all the shit they were able to accomplish in just 18 months it's pretty impressive, but that was one of the only major flaws the game had.

>full of SJW writing, fucking 3 companions are gay for fuck's sake

The Arcade and Veronica were gay characters done right. They only tell you they're gay when asked and it doesn't define them.

I don't know what you were expecting from a game on the same engine that came out 2 years after 3. And hardcore mode's purpose was to add immersion to players who enjoy rping.

Most of the DLC for the original Borderlands was excellent, well written, and lasted plenty long for the modest prices they tied to them.

Pic related I often find is completely overshadowed by Shivering Isles, which is a shame because KotN is actually quite good.

Big shout at to Mehrunes Razor DLC. It might be the king of recycled content (it literally has every single dungeon/ruin type in Oblivion all in the same area), but considering how many dungeons had generic bandits in, it was refreshing to encounter something different. That and it's throwback references to Morrowind are always nice.

>The Pitt and Point Lookout
The Pitt should have been the main story of Fallout 3. Of course you'd have to expand out of Pittsburgh city so that you have some variety (and the factions needed to be fleshed out).

Point Lookout meanwhile is the direction Fallout 3 should've taken. Great emphasis on exploration, character driven, Fallout characteristics that make sense being there like tribals etc

It's shame these two are so overlooked at how dogshit Fallout 3 was, and equally how awful the other three DLCs were. Seriously what the hell were they thinking with Mothership Zeta?

Neat idea poorly executed. I can't be dealing with the horrible new models and the new village screen. The mod it's based on is excellent however, and really you should just play that. Napoleonic Wars was better anyway.

I'll give you Brave New World though. If I had to nitpick, they should have picked the Sioux instead of the Shoshone.

Biggest problem with Ulysses was the complete focus on him. They could have expanded on Legion and made them less insane. They could have made post-game content instead of ending the game and forcing you to reload a file before the Battle of the Dam. They could have done anything but instead they essentially centered all the DLC around a jackass with a mask.

Yes, they definitely could've redone the entire map of New Vegas 4-8 times instead of making a small self contained DLC.

Wait, no, that's retarded and makes no sense.
>>
>>333732293
You know they were actually planning on doing that right, and in the files there are a tonne of unused scrips and dialogues in which characters comment on the various outcomes.

It's a good thing they realized how stupid of an idea that was, a shame they wasted at least some time and resources on that though.

Eh.
>>
>>333733039
Yeah, it would be a shame if they forgot about their Gary Stu.

Those scripts etc. are from before the DLC anyway. Did you conveniently forget they cut Ulysses due to time constraints as well?

I feel like bethesda just keeps their good devs in the closet until they need to release some really good shit like Shivering Isles or Point Lookout.
Could you imagine if Fallout 4 had that kind of quality and a better writing team?

That almost shouldn't even count since it's free, but even if it were paid I'd agree with you completely.
