I think at the very least it'll be the Force Awakens to XIII's prequel trilogy- maybe not considered the best in the series, but good enough that people will have faith that the series can be good again.
And honestly, I think that's what Squeenix really wants out of this- if it makes a profit, great. If people think it's better than VII and it sells 10 million or more, awesome. But as long as it's good enough to make people believe that Squeenix can make good games again, they'll probably consider it to be a success.
