I would just make a mario party 11 and include classic party mode. I would keep the car for people that want that and go back to the traditional boards for people that want it. Also, I would have online leaderboards like how many stars were collected by a single person in a single run, most coins collected in a single run, and best streaks of minigames won based on the difficulty. Lastly, I would allow you to use a mii as a playable character and have amiibo unlock outfits for the miis so that Nintendo can still have their amiibo shit.

Do anything to give back player control. The game feels so sterile now because there's nothing you can really do to change the flow of the board beyond selecting dice. All player input really matters in is the minigames, but you can't ride Mario Party entirely on those.

I would throw in amiibo support so you can save your character and their costume and stats, though it doesn't actually save to the amiibo the game secures some data from the amiibo and keeps the data on file so it's completely optional but fun if you want to fuck around
