All they had to do to compete with 10/10 360 controller was to switch left stick with D-Pad.
Still, DS4 feels really nice and having two extra buttons is very useful. At least my thumbs don't touch each other anymore.

PS3 has the superior D-Pad and triggers + shoulder buttons. PS4 has the superior sticks and long-term comfort and everything else.
But Xbone has the best and sturdiest craftsmanship. The gamepad doesn't squeak nearly as bad as PS4 or PS3 just by gripping it. MS used qualtiy materials for it and it shows.

I have you felt and heard the squeaks whenever you press them? It's irritating. It's like it's caught on something and then rubs against it which make it feel not as smooth as PS3 or Xbox gamepads. And tbqh I'd prefer if the triggers were buttons. 1 and 0, not a slider. Also would make it easier to rebind on PC.
