Does anyone hate that dungeon? I know the Water Temple gets some hate but I rarely hear people whinging about the Water Dungeon.
I enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was a very original setting for a dungeon and Ruto is the foundation for my fetish for tsunderes and monster girls.
We don't? We hate the water temples, not including Jabu-Jabu.
It's the worst of the child dungeons but its not bad. I think people don't like escorting Ruto and the fact that really it's pretty easy to lose your way with all the holes in the floor and stuff.
I love OoT but Jabu Jabu is probably the most forgettable dungeon aside from like the Ice Cavern.
I've never heard of anyone hating any of the first three dungeons.

I loved Barinade. Wasn't expecting it to have a second phase and when it started moving around the room and shooting lightning I was in awe, mostly because the lightning had a cool visual and sound effect.

Even over Dodongo's Cavern?
I've always found the only real aesthetic of that place to be the giant Dodongo skull. The rest is just bland rock.
In a game where every dungeon has a clear theme, it really feels kind of out of place. Like it was the first dungeon they made as a debug level that was deemed fit to put into the final game because it had a very nice balance of gameplay elements.

Rock is more pleasing to look at than veiny, pulsing innards. Plus, there's lava breaking it up. And I loved the skull, always was afraid it'd come to life and took forever to bomb the eyes because I wasn't ready to fight a giant dodongo skeleton. You get to fight lizaflos too, and King Dodongo is a fun, if easy, fight with bitchin music. It's probably my favorite of the child dungeons, though all of the child dungeons were the weakest in the game.
