where're the normal sci-fi games?
it's all post-apocalypse or cyberpunk, instead of living in futuristic cities and having cool weapons
No Man's Sky :^)
Space sims and mid 2000s FPS games, that's about it outside of occasional RPGs like Space Siege
Ratchet and Clank games are very sci-fi, but they might not be the same as what you're looking for.

at least it's something.
Literally the only thing that comes up regularly is Mass Effect, but that's Bioware-tier shit
binary domain's pretty neat
>>333605434
>hating mass effect because of the developer
nah man mass effect is alright.
also dead space, unless you consider that "post apocalyptic"
oh and Xenoblade chronicles X is fucking scifi and comfy as fuck, with cool armors and mechs and weapons on a foreign planet.
>>333605647eh, it's okay, but Bioware is always fairly bland and mediocre as an experience
Metroid, but you're always far away from (human) civilization.
Binary Domain
>>333605647
>on a foreign planet
You mean ON A DISTANT PLANET
>>333601717
Wouldn't cyberpunk include living in futuristic cities and having cool weapons?
>>333605574
>>333606442
That's both cyberpunk and kind of post apocalyptic.
>>333607060
cyberpunk is living in shitty cities and having dirty weapons
>>333607060
Why would any sane individual want to play a dystopian future to escape the dystopian present
Binary Domain.
>>333607236
tell that to slavs. all they ever made is dystopian medieval post-apocalyptic punk dark fiction fantasy
>>333607225
I dunno, Human Revolution seemed pretty comfy to me. Got some slick augs and guns. I mean, the actual cities are pretty shit, with the beggars and whores and what not
>>333601717
REMASTER OR PORT WHEN?
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>333607335
Slavs have epigenetic melancholy, they're an exception.
>>333607406
i rather have a sequelfunded by nintendo
>>333607236
>future that looks cool and has neon everywhere
>present that looks shit and has shitty fashion
>>333607124
>>333607225
Cyberpunk is extremely nebulous as a genre to the point that it's pretty much a blanket term now for any speculative future which didn't turn out perfect.
>>333607451
>epigenetic
Pseudo intellectual sophistry and pseudo science detected.
>>333608528
neon signs are generally associated with hookers and cheap bars, and not being able to sleep near them
Dead Space 2 had the coolest representation of a functioning space-city (not too futuristic but not too basic) that I've seen, and it had some pretty awesome weapons.
>>333608864
Yeah but at least it looks cool
>>333601717
Where's the hard science fiction?
>>333609546
Nowhere because it's boring
>>333601717
Why is vanquish so good?
>>333610574
cause it's fast and purely gameplay oriented and looks stylish and runs at a incredibly cinematic framerate.
>>333607124
You got to lay out the floor plans then. The entire second half of the game fits your criteria.
What the hell do you want? Raypunk?
>>333609546
Moonbase Alpha is technically hard science fiction.
>>333611372
>>333606948
>Implying mira is an actual planet
