It's not like you're listening to the complete game or movie audio through it, I've had mine for over a year now and I can only think of 1 or 2 games that actually had a feature implemented that used the speaker, and it's always just for short sounds like alarms or something like that.

The track pad is garbage. No matter how much I've messed with the dead zone I figured out the issue isn't with response but with the fact that there's no resistance. If i have to slightly move my thumb for a sec it picks that up. if I change it to be less sensitive it's not responsive enough. At least an analog stick provides some sort of resistance to gauge your aim. Touch pad controls have been and will always be garbage for that reason.

Every so often the targeting system fucks up and it's easier to actually click on whatever you want than keep wrestling with it. The game was designed for PC first, so it's nice to have a point-and-click interface as a backup.
I think that's what Sony had in mind when they decided to include it. Console ports of PC games. There are some games that can't even be played without a mouse or a touchpad of some sort and while I haven't seen any RTS on PS4 yet I guess they wanted to keep the option open.

DS3 L2 and R2 triggers are terrible, the analog stick isnt good either, the buttons are kinda weak/frail. I got it for my N3DS and I already have over 50 hours on it and I don't even have Link at level 70 yet and I JUST finished bum-rushing the first adventure mode map to unlock all the characters. Now i actually need to try and get the my fairy stuff and maybe some heart containers if I feel like it.Because let's be honest, you don't need heart containers because if you're taking enough damage for them to be relevent then you just lost your A rank.
After the main adventure map you have what, three more? the wind waker one, majoras mask, and twilight princess? And I still have to beat the legends mode on every difficulty and collect every gold skulltula.
Hyrule Warriors is in no way short.

All of these consoles are the same. A hodgepodge of shifty components with a high failure rate or poor quality. It's to keep production costs low. Are you guys underage or pretending to be retarded?
To be honest the speaker is a little bit better than the wii dildo controller one, and there is a limit to what the controller can cost and considering it's a huge improvment over the DS3 and the first decent sony controller I guess there wasn't much left for the speaker.
It's just a shitty gimmick anyway and for the very few times it's used it does its job okay.
As for the touchpad it's pretty decent quality overall, I have been using my DS4 controller since launch and while the sticks are starting to wear out the touchpad is as good a new.
