I always thought making a Shy Gal partner would be cuter if their sexual dymorphism were less blatant. Have her robes be light sunset orange, have it droop over her mask a bit, make her sleeves look like they've kind of oversized, give her eye holes little Kersti lash marks. A bit tomboyish, though still crippled by shyness and anxiety

Nah just regular talking Luigi, Mr L was great but besides maybe a folded up picture tucked away in Weege's wallet or something he should stay out of it. Weegee's back-and forth dialogue with partners could be really neat, like how different partners say different things in the fist 2 games depending on whos out with Mario, but more in-depth, it makes them feel more like an evolving relationship with your followers. And how about insane plot twist that dont change yiur goal, but puts you in a completely different (and wrong) direction at the end of each chapter. Goal changing twist is 4/5ths through the game

I just want a paper mario game that uses the original crayon drawing art style in a popup book environment from the first game. I never really cared for the segmented puppet like designs from TTYD. That's not saying i hated TTYD i just liked the visuals of PM64 better.

Some youbf and upcoming, clever, creative people want to write Superman comics someday, they must see some unrealized potential within the IP that they want to bring to light, and they'll have every opportunity to do so if they work hard at it. It was more like oil painting than crayon but yeah, you've got the general idea of it right. I loved the look of a living, thoughtfully drawn storybook with some pop-up elements, as opposed to TTYD's more simple fully-pop-up aesthetic.
Goes without saying TTYD is still a great game.

I'm a fan of the 7 Stars trope that they have going. I'd say I'd go back to the star road from Mario RPG and have have 7 Star Keepers (more of whatever Geno's race was) that have fallen to the mushroom kingdom and have possess dolls or other objects for unknown reasons. Mario would go about trying to solve the mystery and try to get them to come back at the behest of the plot because each of the keepers performs a very important role that's going unattended.

This right here is really awful advice, don't follow it. Varying line widths are great, you can get the general PM style right while still doing your own thing and having artistic freedom. Also PM 1 had varying line weights and it had the best art style.
