If this isn't artificial difficulty I don't know what is

Dark Souls
Why would you not think to block a nuke?
There's plenty of cheap ways of killing him. Just run up to him while spamming incendiary shurikens at his head, then doing aerial scythe combos when you get close enough.

We could give you a 90's platform game and you'd complain about artificial difficulty the 6th time you fail a jump. That's how casual people have become.
>Something you have complete control over is artificial difficulty
Try playing any given baseball game and come back to me.

Ninja Gaiden 2 lava armadillo boss battle. When it dies it explodes. If you don't hold block the explosion instakills you

>stage full of enemies that explode when you kill them
>somehow people didn't expect something like that happening when the armadillo is knocked out and the camera closes in hinting something is coming
>in a game when once you kill a boss the action stops instantly, so you KNOW something was still up
I know most people here suck at these games, but don't try to sound completely braindead on top of that.

Pretty good sequel right up til the end, its like you see when the original director was fired in the game. Just turns to shit

I miss the days when game developers went out of their way to troll bad players. These days everyone is afraid of the poor casuals having their feelings hurt.

Itagaki stayed until NG2 was completed, stop making shit up.

then it makes sense he was fired
I dont know if it was a glitch or if it was actually meant to happen, but when I played the game I got to this boss and he did a grab and smashed me against the wall until I had no health (for about a minute or 2 straight). That scared the shit out of me because I never knew if it was a thing that was supposed to happen or not.
