And the story definitely had its problems. I am completely fine with and would prefer a reinterpretation, not changing significant plot things unnecessarily, but making things more clear. Kitase and Nomura have grown up. We have grown up. Video games have grown up. That needs to be reflected in how they approach the creation.
If this were actually true then they could just release it all as one game. After all, we don't need three full length JRPGs. FFVII is one JRPG. It needs one game to be remade.
