You go down the ladder, during the animation you see Alma, one of the primary antagonists, appear from nowhere as you walk down the platform, and just when you think you're safe, the second you turn around, you see the OTHER antagonist, Fettel, walking towards you before disintegrating into nothing. The thing is that when you have several fast dinosaurs who barely break a sweat after you empty your handgun into their face running around in these narrow-as-shit corridors it really just doesn't work.
Zombies are a bit more fun to fight against, there are much more ways you can deal with them. I just ended running past all of the dinos because the combat is shit.
RE at least had some variation to it's locations, DC is just the same sterile lab corridors from start to finish, even when you are outside it looks the same.
Also it only has like what 3 weapons? Pistol, shotgun and GL. Doesn't even have a melee weapon, the shotgun w/ sleeping darts is the only viable option really.
The only great thing I can think about it is that you may drop your weapon when the enemies attack you, that's a pretty neat survival horror element.

It exists only for two reasons - 1, kill compys which are completely harmless anyway, and two, wasting inventory space if you carry ammo for it. Yes, DC1 guns are kind of shit, DC2 is the complete opposite.

Probably not, but there's still a lot of potential there: a REmake of the first game, a Lost Planet 2/Monster Hunter style game where you're part of a team taking on dinosaurs, a RAID or Mercenaries type game where you try beat monsters in a certain time limit or to get from A to B.
Just avoid the dinosaur clones in space thing with the shitty gameplay again.
