What went wrong?
nothing. it was quite enjoyable. in the mainline persona games, i just try to get out the dungeon as fast as i can since they're so lazily designed.

Atlus tried to trick the persona audience into playing EO. If they wanted the persona fags to play EO, they shoulda added dating to EO.

A lot of the characters just aren't good and because they're stuck using specific weapons you can't really use your favorite characters.
If you really like Persona the characters are flanderized harder than they were in arena. If you really like Etrian Odyssey you're going to be let down by how boring the dungeons and FOE are. But at least the map tools were really good. I think it's the first game that let you color code all your icons.
