Gravelrocks are still in the game, just rarer. And recruitment not being RNG based is nice, but not being able to recruit more than one of any Pokemon variety is terrible, as is being unable to nickname them. Not to mention how they killed the bulletin board and thus made the game's structure much more rigid.
They should've had both the old recruitment and mission systems together with the Connection Orb.

Asgore's whole aesthetic in the first run nearly got me but it was replaced by rage in a matter of seconds because of the fucking weed.
Hugging goat boy in the end still gets me though. Don't care if it's "forced feels" or whatever, it's some of the only emotion to crack through my hardened outer shell in a very long time. Not sure why it's only come through from that though, but I guess from this thread it's time for me to check out Nier and the Mystery Dungeon games.

If you already have it, definitely play it. A lot of people call it the worst in the series, but even that isn't saying it's bad. I recommend playing it with a good pair of headphones. PMD games always have an amazing soundtrack.

It's alright. Gameplay is weakest in the series, but the story and music are pretty good, and it does have some neat stuff only in it gameplay wise.
