This makes it a pain in the ass to catch people in front of you as when you turn left on them, all they have to do is turn right and you die. If you want to be a sneaky, dick ass thief snake, I've found that staying between 1k and 2k is more than enough, you just chase big ones and they'll get nervous and fuck up, just remember to do sharp L turns in front of others to pretty much get a sure kill, just leave the dots on the ground as bait and you'll soon be surrounded by kamikaze sneks.
If you want to be a gargantuan, you need to go mid range between the middle and the outer edges, that's where you'll find competition and not that many smallies to fuck you when you dash.

Game stops being fun once you reach 40-50k length. They need to make it so that once you get a certain size you can't kill the little guys and the little guys can't kill you, you should just path through each other if they are below a certain size. Dodging wave after wave of tiny kamikaze is not fun and makes it impossible to play in the center once you reach a certain size.

How is it a dumb idea?
Right now anyone with ~30k length and a brain immediately gets the fuck out to the outskirts so they aren't surrounded by little guys because they are too dangerous. All you can do versus them is either surround them for very little reward (not worth your time), run away (ie go to the outskirts), or turtle and poke out for scraps and surround cluster fucks (boring and more dangerous and less rewarding than outskirts).
If little guys (I'm talking around 100x smaller than the big guys) could path through really big guys (100x bigger) it could create really dynamic play where they can go inside encirclements to gather and fight for food (but they would have to be careful so they dont get too big they cant escape), use big guys to as cover and even protect them if the relationship was symbiotic enough.
You don't see Lions killing ants in the savanna. Organisms that far apart from each other typically form some sort of symbiotic relationship.

I actually like how it's harder to turn sharply as a big snake now, makes you more careful about moving around. But like I said, the controls are unenjoyable as it is, so getting to #2 is good enough for me.

If you look at Agar, you've got a system that punishes you for errant splitting. You become more vulnerable, unless you're absorbing a cell of considerable mass. Considerable mass != a starting cell of about 30, and with the way mass deteriorates as you get larger, there's no reason to split as a large cell towards a tiny one other than to purposefully shoot yourself in the foot.

Something I've noticed too. Redditsneks are some of the greediest little shits on the server and are moronically easy to trick. They also without exception will dive for your head if you dip it on the inside while coiling which is nice since otherwise they'll stick around until you completely squeeze them out.
