Well, Wii Music was obviously aimed at younger (MUCH younger) audiance so obviously the gameplay had to be properly simplified. But the general intent was still visible. They tried to create a cheap alternative to the Rock Band/Guitar Hero aimed at very young kids but it didn't work out as well as they imagined. The E3 was a complete disaster too. I was SO HYPED for Lair. It was featured in an issue of EGM or something and it looked like the greatest thing ever. Amazing graphics, an awesome concept, huge amounts of enemies on screen at once, I couldn't wait.
I didn't have a PS3, and when the game came out and got bad reviews, I was sort of relieved to know that I wasn't missing out on anything.
