we had setup like this at uni, but made of wired together PS3s, because someone figured out, making cluster of used consoles will be a lot cheaper than buying lab computer.
Also, if needed, they could increase perfomance of setup by simply wiring-in more consoles.

I bought a 3ds because of all the /v/ hype 3 years ago. I played kid icaurs, 8/10, albw 8.5/10, luigis mansion 2 6/10 and star fox 64 3d. And then i realized that i bought a nintendo handheld without liking pokemon. I honestly have not touc hed it since december 2013 after i beat albw. i dont even know where it is anymore, where i put it.
About the wii u. i played the 5 essential games at a friends house. It was OK. I excpetc a lot more from a nintendo console. And not just Some great games.

Seriously, to me this generation has come down to exclusives vs exclusives with a few indie gems here and there. The big third party studios have devolved completely into shit factories.
I'm very happy with my Wii U, and I'm buying a PS4 for its exclusives after the PS4K pushes the price down, now that it actually has a few games that appeal to me.

They consistently shit on 3rd party devs until they get fed up and stop developing for them. It's simply not enough for Nintendo to be an exclusives machine. They need 3rd party devs to survive. Very few people want to or can afford to have a Wii U as "companion console" alongside another machine which actually does 3rd party too. Until Nintendo realises this, they're going to continue to sell less and less consoles until they give up entirely.
