Overall, we think he looks like an emo faggot. Many call him Sasuke.
He's alright as a person, as far as I could tell. I'm okay with the design.

FF7 has Cloud, Tifa, and Barett from the get go, and Yuna, Lulu, Kimahri, Wakka, and Auron are all already acquainted with one another in FFX. Vanille and the other girl are also gal pals in XIII.

Looks like a faggot, but so do most modern FF characters (save Sazh and Basch). I don't play FF games cause of the artwork, I do so because of gameplay. Also, most modern japanese games look like they're for faggots, despite some having great gameplay. If you could combine western visual design with eastern gameplay (like Demon's Souls) for many newer games you'd have a modern vidtya renaissance. I'm pretty sure many people who play games are hesitant to play eastern games cause they look gay.

I think noctis has alot of potential to be one of the best protagonists in the series, i kept worrying for like 8 years he was just gonna be some emo faggot so when i get to the demo and see that hes just a cheeky and lasy asshole palling around with his bros i was pretty stoked for the guy as a character.

He's a Yakuza kid who's living off the money and power, but isn't really *in* it yet, and I think it's pretty fitting. Stupid hairstyle, insanely expensive stylish clothes, fancy cars, surrounded by peers of similar ages and all that who are supposed to still obey him and such.
Also, I think the sword summoning idea is pretty well-applied with the character and his family.

It's a PS4 only bug. Xbone doesn't have it and feels much smoother despite a slightly lower framerate
