out of all moba's - I think HOTS is the best one fun factor wise; unless dominating someone is fun for you then it ain't for you.

That's only because they have had their major yearly tournaments over the past month or so.
You have to watch that garbage if you want to receive ingame rewards, like stupid little profile pictures, or see exclusive reveals of new heroes.

I tried to play it 3 times with few months in between. It's too casual, very grindy, and it's boring to play and watch.
Failure
Blizzard has done a pretty good job of balancing, oddly enough. Heroes are released at a decent pace too.
I like it more than LoL, but it doesn't have the depth Dota 2 has.
Although, the short matches are something I've grown to appreciate after having hour long Dota 2 matches that go absolutely nowhere.

I think it's really fucking fun with friends. However, solo experience is, in my opinion, pretty miserable due to really fucking shitty matchmaking (especially in ranked) and the fact that you can't really carry your team alone, like you can in DOTA / LoL.

I have so much regret wasting $50 on this game in the first two weeks my friends and I played. We had quit League for over a year, then played this.
After a week my friends started playing league just to "scratch the itch". Then after another week all 9 of them dropped heroes to go play league again.
So fucking dumb.
They're at least trying to be more original with the new heroes and how they play. Greymane is fucking great. Tracer looks like she runs and guns, which will be interesting.

Single queuing ranked will put you in MMR hell, at least in Europe. It is especially bad on weekends when the concentration of Russians and 12 year old is the highest.
Post lvl10 is all about teamfights, if you end up in a team with only one unresponsive or feeding turd, you've already lost.

my only issues are the lack of characters that /should/ be in there as opposed to who is in there (tracer? really?) and the horrid matchmaking system. It is good in concept, but horrid in exicution.
I feel it needs to be like other mobas and just search for 4 other players and when your in, chose your characters. As it stands, ive had to many games with 3-4 supports and either a single tank/DPS while the enemy team had 1 support, 3 DPS and 1 tank.
Games pretty dead (takes about 5-6 minutes to get into a quick match) and matchmaking is legitimately some of the worst I've ever seen where you'd get matched against a team with a support when you don't have a support etc.
Shame because there's actually a good game here.
