Carlos in the Vita version looks soulless with a wide moth for who knows what reasons. Crispy character models stick out compared to the grey, colorless backgrounds of the game.
Can't make out completely where his eyes look at in the 3DS version, so it kinda looks like he's looking down at Akane. Surprisingly, I'd say the sadows look better in the 3DS version, whereas the Vita ones look more like shading of the character model itself. Colors are less vibrant, fitting for the backrgound.
Then again, it's only one pic and not even in motion, so it doesn't say much. Vita version may blow the 3DS version completely out of the water, but it's not like the 3DS version look horribly bad.

I was going to make fairer comparison images that integer scaled the 3DS screenshots (basically 2x), but as soon as I went looking for actual comparison images the only ones that cropped up are on amiami.
As is, it's currently unfair for the Vita since the screenshots provided are scaled down by about 40% compared to the native resolution 3DS ones.
Unfortunately there's also no color correction for Vita screenshots, so actually playing the game would be required.
