SNES could at one point.

To expand, any handheld before the DS and PSP. GBA may have had some super obscure third party cartridge that never caught on, and it had the wireless dongle that did fuckall for three games at the end of the consoles lifetime. Gameboy color probably did nothing, except for whatever phone thing did for Mystery gift on G/S/C Pokemon, if you even count that as internet. Nothing older than DS and PSP had any reasonable or meaningful online usage.

Also, did N64 have any online play? I don't think it does. I might've had some weird Japanese only hardware expansion that did fuckall and was released when the console was already on it's way out.

Are you in prison op? The last Wii model(red one) removed all internet capabilities. The psp street has no internet as well.

>Online multiplayer and web browsing using NetLink in North America (1996-present), and through SegaNet in Japan (1996-2000)

The Sega Saturn was a cool system.

The Atari 2600 had an online function, and wireless controllers.

woops that was the wrong one.

>Unofficial SharkWire Online in the U.S. (1999-2003), Randnet in Japan for 64DD (1999-2001)
>SharkWire Online is a specialized GameShark device with a serial port and modem added, accompanied by a now defunct dialup Internet portal service. It was sold only in the US, by InterAct which is most famous for its GameShark and Dexdrive. Scheduled for launch in January 2000,[2] it was the only Nintendo 64 online service to have been launched apart from Nintendo's Randnet service in Japan.

So in short, same boat as GBA. It could, but only in a really obscure and largely useless way.

Never saw that as the point of the thread. More of a "can you do it or can't you" kind of thing.
