The actual problem stems from the fact that all of the characters are extremely shallow and poorly written, with Krystal being the most poorly done due to just showing up. The games in general need better writing to make these characters more fleshed out and make Krystal actually useful. She has psychic powers. Hyrule Warriors was the drop that broke the camel's back and made him cancel his project thinking people actually gave a damn about him. Then he went and started working on a star Fox mod for some other game inspired by the worst ending in Command (Yes, the Kursed one).
