fuck, i know that feel. I love playing as Kirby but it's just so fucking hard to keep up in Sakurai's Super Slash Bros. Anime Swordsman Mixer. Corrin's range makes him fucknear untouchable with Kirby's stubby limbs, and Cloud's reigning supreme with a combination of speed, range, and power that EVERYONE'S having trouble with, not just Kirbs.

While a couple of high tiers actually really do require some work for your wins, so many of them boil down to formulaic bullshit that I can't wrap my head around the fun of playing as. The rest I'm either too scrub for or just have no particular interest in, but with Wario I feel like I'm constantly edging for every hit, and his quirky mobility gives him tons of creative options. I get to play him pretty wildly.
Meanwhile...
Mario is just spamming fireballs to get grabs and USmash.
Sonic is just stalling and spin dashing.
Diddy is just getting grabs off of bananas.
Cloud is just UAir and running away to charge limit break.
Ness is just FAir combo until you can get Back throw.

Kirbs has one of the nastiest combo games and some of the best grabs along with THE best pummel, but you can't hit shit and you have 0 aerial movement speed. While it's fun as fuck to style on people with the little memester himself once they play an anime swordsman there is literally nothing you can do. You'll read everything and they'll roll away, and attacking midair means guaranteed hit trades or whiffs. It's frustrating as fuck when everything comes out faster and has way more range, and you can't follow up on anything once your feet leave the ground.

You mean the one projectile, the can and then only if they don't air dodge. Even then it won't kill to higher percents because realistically where they would get hit by the can wouldn't kill below 110% unless the opponent maneuvers themselves right into it. I suppose you could throw a clay pigeon but that won't kill, just add percent.
Besides, cans are usually better used to cover one option from the ledge (either roll, or get up), and then cover getup attack,jump, or fallback attack.

Fellow MOTHER's boy here, Every once in a while throw out the side smash, it's pretty fast and can kill at decent percentages, no luck about it. The F-air and B-air provide decent horizontal knockback too, but most of your kills are going to come from throws, not gonna lie.
Also, use your Down smash, that thing hits like a truck if you land the first hit, and if possible, try to nail people with the D-air off-stage, you can use it to cover air-dodges if you reserve the second jump. Finally, don't be afraid to nail people with an unexpected off-stage PK Fire, I've scored some dirty KO's with it. People expect little from Lucas when it comes to killing, but you gotta knock expectations out of the park

That was sheer timing and hard read, with a little bit of luck mixed in.
Getting good at Ganondorf is realizing you need to be on the defensive whenever you possibly can. Defensive playstyles are much more profitable in Smash 4, as opposed to the hyper-offensive Melee and Brawl. Ganondorf especially excels at just perfect-shielding an attack and then immediately following with a high powered tilt.

Ness is way too low, while he may not have been able to defeat Gigyas, he was tanking attacks from him and doing damage, even if not significant. Up to God tier.
Ryu is a bit high, SF characters are clearly superhuman but not that much so, down to D.
ZSS is too high as well, she's really just a peak human. Down to D.
Roy's Sword of Seals was affecting things on a continental level in his game, it's the most broken Fire Emblem weapon honestly, only balanced since he gets it at the very end. Up to S.
Meta Knight is mostly portrayed as Kirby's equal, has been seen flying at the same speed as Kirby's warpstar, and does the same feats Kirby does in SSU. Should be up there with Kirby.
