>2D game
>unsure if certin terrain can hurt you
>touch it
>you can walk throught it

>game has spikes
>touching the non-pointy part of the spikes still kills you

>Game has spikes.
>Can walk through them as long as you don't jump.
>always avoid contact with enemies
>never actually sure if you can touch them or if you can only be damaged by their attacks
>>333335826

>>333335930
>>333336067
what do you mean by that? it makes no sense it can kill you
>>333335930
spelunky?
>enemy attacks damage other enemies
>>333336793
I wish more games do that, it's even worse when they attack you through other enemies, or through fucking walls
>>333336679
If you imagine the spike having sharp edges then it makes sense it could damage you. Rounded looking spikes like in NSMB however shouldn't damage you.

>Get upgrade in the game to walk over said terrain.
>Start walking over it.
>Said terrain leads to another path you can't walk over without dying.
>boss made of spikes
>"Hole-y moley!"
