Mods to me seem offensive to the maker of the game.
They're time consuming to install and are just dumb. If the main game doesn't hold your attention it doesn't need mods, it needs to be uninstalled

Like it sucks if mods make to playable, but that doesn't mean you should play it you don't jave to buy it if you are that pissy.

That's a good reason to play a game though, as long as youdon't pay for it.
Shit, I got a good 300 hours of fun this winter out of Skyrim with 215 mods installed, and I got it for free in some summer sale thread years ago. Likewise, Starsector is pretty bland vanilla, but if you grab a dozen mods it becomes a top-tier M&B in space game.
