Yeah, that's what I meant. In the movie it is strongly suggested that without being blacked out drunk while piloting the outcome would have been completely different and far more deadly. Yet he still broke the law but without breaking the law everyone would be dead. Even the copilot fag was buttmad to him for saving his life.
